Your orchids are personal. Your information should be, too.

Glasshouse keeps the information you add so your orchid diary works and stays up to date across your devices. We do not sell your personal information or use your photos for advertising. This page explains, in everyday language, what we keep and why.

You can sign in with Apple or Google. We receive the basic details needed to create and secure your account, such as an account ID and the email address or name you choose to share. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, we receive the relay address instead. Glasshouse never sees or stores your Apple or Google password.

We save the things you add to your private Glasshouse account, including:

• Plant records: names, collection numbers, vendors, prices, statuses, tags, and notes
• Care history: watering, feeding, repotting, treatments, and observations, with dates and time zones
• Links to the photos you choose from your own library
• Settings, including the home location you set for weather

Your records are kept separate from other people's records and are available only when you are signed in to your account. A few choices, such as light or dark mode, are also saved on your device.

Glasshouse does not upload your photo library. Your original photos stay on your device, and removing a photo from Glasshouse does not delete it from your library.

To show a plant's cover photo on the web and on your other devices, we keep one smaller, private copy in your account. It is not made public, sold, or used to train AI or target advertising. We do not upload the other photos you link to a plant.

If you ask, Glasshouse can use your current location to set the weather for your growing space. It does not follow you or keep a history of where you go. You can search for a town or place instead if you prefer.

We send the location of your growing space to Open-Meteo so it can return a forecast. If you search for a place, we send that search to Open-Meteo to find the matching location.

• We do not sell or rent your personal information.
• We do not sell your photos or use them for advertising or AI training.
• We do not give growers or sellers your account details or diary records.
• We do not track your location or keep a history of where you go.
• You can export your records and delete your account.

Glasshouse does not currently show ads or use your activity to build an advertising profile. In the future, the app may include clearly labeled offers, discount codes, or special sales from orchid growers. Showing you an offer would not give that grower your personal information. If an offer ever requires you to share something, we will ask you first.

We may also use simple measurements to understand whether Glasshouse is working well and which features are useful. We will describe any such use here before it begins. We will not turn your private diary or photos into a product for advertisers.

We use Google Firebase to run accounts and privately store your records and cover-photo copies. We use Open-Meteo for weather. These companies receive only the information they need to provide those services.

You can permanently delete your account from Settings, then Delete account. This removes your plant records, care history, settings, private cover-photo copies, and account. Your original photos stay in your own library. You can read the full details, including how to delete an account without the app, on the delete account page.
